It feels like NEOGEO is seriously trying to make a comeback recently, mainly because of the fact that they recently announced their new AES+ console that doesn't use emulation and a bunch of new games to go alongside it, but now they're teasing a new official online store to bring everything under one roof.
According to SNK Corporation, this new store, named "NEOGEO Styles", is a place that will offer NEOGEO fans the opportunity to buy apparel, accessories and lifestyle merchandise inspired by SNK's iconic game franchises, which include the likes of:
- Fatal Fury
- The King Of Fighters
- Samurai Shodown
- Metal Slug
The store will feature a wide range of products designed to bring these worlds and characters into everyday life, such as T-shirts, hats, fashion accessories, outerwear and home accessories. I can imagine they will follow SEGA's tactics here, by planting their IP on whatever they can, but I personally hope they take time creating great products, much like the recent collaboration they did with Kumagumi where they released an awesome rug of Yuta the monkey and premium clothing instead of lets say, a low-quality mug, keychains, and mass-produced posters, etc.
In addition, merchandise previously sold at the SNK booth during EVO Japan 2026 will also be available through post-event online sales. SNK aims to provide long-time fans with new ways to connect with beloved titles while also introducing new audiences to SNK’s IPs through fashion and lifestyle products. To celebrate the launch, SNK will also release a collaborative cap with the sports and lifestyle brand NEW ERA®.
Which is certainly a better approach to fashion products. Collaborations are key, and stand out from the mass-produced stuff, which people are getting fed up with nowadays. SNK is also preparing support for overseas customers in stages, with the goal of sharing the appeal of SNK IPs with fans around the world.
The store will officially launch on May 29th 2026, at 12:00PM (JST). For now, there is a landing page on the site, ready for tomorrow.
