The Game Boy mini might have only ever had a handful of tiny cartridges, but now, thanks to a hard-working developer by the name of zwenergy0, you can turn it into a dinky Game Boy emulator to keep in your Pocket no matter where you go.
Yes, after 24 years, the Pokémon Mini could be coming back into the fray now that the Homebrew Community has taken an interest it, allowing us to play classic GB titles on it like Pokémon Red and Pokémon Pinball in monochrome.
GB mini - Game Boy games on the Pokemon mini. The emulator is running on the PM2040 flash cart. As the PM has built-in rumble, GB rumble games (like Pokemon Pinball) use the PM's rumble. Save games supported as well. Next step audio emulation. pic.twitter.com/s3yrEpMoqS

Thanks to a post on X by our friends over at Time Extension, we know the emulator is called the GB Mini. According to zwynergy0, the emulator runs on the PM2040 flash cart. "As the PM has built-in rumble, GB rumble games (like Pokémon Pinball) use the PM's rumble. Save games are supported as well. Next step audio emulation."
Admittedly, it's not a very big screen, albeit bigger than the Apple Watch that Brandon tried playing Pokémon Gold on. Still, if you've got a Pokémon Mini kicking around that you're not using and want to give it a lease of life, this is definitely worth a look in.
