The new Street Fighter movie is releasing in October, and with that, likely more merchandise, collaborations, and cool toys to purchase "for the kids". One collaboration that is rumoured is an upcoming LEGO set featuring Street Fighter characters.
Popular LEGO leaker known as carter_bricks04 on Instagram, who has had many of his leaks successfully confirmed, has stated that a Street Fighter set is coming in "Late 2027", which is a while to wait, but awesome to hear, nonetheless. No set or images have leaked, causing the Street Fighter community to have their opinions.
It could be as small as Street Fighter Minifigure mystery boxes that have grown in popularity this year, or a full-blown set with thousands of pieces. If I had to guess, I think we could be seeing iconic moments and characters from the movie and games feature in this set, maybe even going as far as replicating levels, or the infamous Lexus LS400 vehicle from the bonus level in Street Fighter II, which also features in the movie. Though this would be more of a "retro-focused" set rather than one that tries to promote the new movie.
I think it will be a small set, a few hundred pieces, at an affordable price rather than a larger set that would try to focus on a smaller niche of LEGO enthusiasts with a bigger budget, but I am no LEGO expert! We will share more information on this set when we hear it.
