Ah, Amazon, the gift that keeps on giving. So far this week, Amazon Germany has leaked the upcoming Arcanine LEGO set that will be definitely going straight into my basket, and now they've leaked the prices for Pokémon Winds & Waves. Someone probably needs to tell them to just calm down a little bit with the leaking - maybe they've just employed a load of Pokémon-happy interns!
Pokémon Winds & Waves are the hotly anticipated new Gen 10 titles in the main Pokémon series, led by Browt, Gecqua, and the cutest Pokémon of all time, Pombon.
Thanks to Amazon, we know that the games will cost €79.99, which would mean a US price of $79.99. According to the screenshot I took from Amazon Germany above, it's telling me that the cost would be £69.27, so I can imagine the price for UK gamers would be listed at £69.99.
See the release date too? 'Release Day Delivery: Friday, 31 December 2027'. I'm instantly dubious of that. Can you remember when Amazon showed the release date of Metroid Prime 4 and kept pushing it back again and again? It was as though they just picked a date out of thin air so they could start taking pre-orders and then completely sacked it off.
I'll believe that release date when I see it, and hopefully Nintendo will bring it forward a little more so that we can all get it in time for Christmas 2027. For now, however, at least we know how much it's going to cost!
