We're still revelling in the announcement of the main Kanto evolutions that released at the start of the year, though that's more for the general look of the set rather than the astronomical price. It's certainly a good time to be a Pokémon fan, and now that Amazon UK have slipped up and leaked the next LEGO set based on the original 151 and featuring one of my favourite Fire-types, we can look forward to putting Arcanine up on our shelves to keep us safe and warm while we game.
This set joins some of the other sets aimed at adults like the Shadow the Hedgehog set and the PAC-MAN Arcade that we've covered over the years. It's not a toy, but rather a display piece, the kind of thing that 90s kids like me would buy and then want to show off to everyone that came to their house.

The listing on Amazon UK has now disappeared, but you know how quick the internet is at picking up on people's mistakes. The information provided by Amazon stated that the set would cost £89.99, which is $109.99. That makes it more expensive than the Eevee set but cheaper than the Pikachu and Poké Ball set. It's an affordable piece for sure, and if there were more sets releasing at this price, it would make them very attractive indeed!
LEGO Arcanine is set to release on August 1st and comprises 1,190 pieces. According to BricksUp, we can expect Rayquaza and Munchlax sets to release on this day too!
