I’ve heard a couple of people in my lifetime saying that Pokémon look ‘cute enough to eat’, and while taking a bit out of Pikachu while walking around Kanto might not be the smartest idea if you want to stay ‘un-fried’, Krispy Kreme’s new selection of Pokemon-themed Doughnuts should do the trick.
Shared by Krispy Kreme Korea on Instagram, the caption states that ‘A Pokemon appeared that excites both children and adults’, because let’s face it, while everyone loves Pokémon, everyone loves doughnuts a lot more.
If there’s one thing that I want to do today, it’s take a bite out of a cute-looking Psyduck doughnut. Just look at him staring up at me with all that lemony goodness hiding inside of him. That’s a clever segue into me talking about the different flavours of each of these sweet treats, just in case you didn’t spot it.
Going clockwise and starting from the Diglett in the top left-hand corner of Pokeshopper.net’s tweet, we’ve got –
- Diglett with my personal favorite sounding filling, dark chocolate
- Pikachu with a calming cream of the corn flavour
- Jigglypuff bringing a sweet strawberry taste to the party
- Ditto with a yummy strawberry milk cream filling
- Psyduck sporting refreshing lemon
Now that I’ve got you all excited, here’s the sad part. These doughnuts are currently only available in Korea, and there’s no news of them heading to American or European branches of Krispy Kreme just yet. Still, if we want something hard enough and wish like crazy (while spamming Krispy Kreme social media sites with requests to bring the doughnuts to Western stores), then our sweet dreams might just come true! I guess you’ll have to head down to Krispy Kreme to get some plain-old doughnuts while playing Pokémon to make yourself happy again!
