Pokemon Legends: Arceus is one of the most stunning open world games I’ve played after Breath of the Wild, and it’s got some stellar Pokemon to track down too.
Scyther was always one of my favourite Pokemon to use in Pokemon Stadium, one of the best N64 games of all time. And now, he’s got an evolution befitting of his epic status.
Kleavor is one bad-ass dude; just check out those axe arms and tell me you’re not impressed?

How to Get Scyther In Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
Scyther has two main spawn locations in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, and it’s never proved tough for me to find one this far.
Take a look around the Grandtree Arena in the Obsidian Fieldlands, and also the Primeval Grotto up in the Coronet Highlands, the place that you might remember from our how to evolve Gligar into Gliscor in Pokemon Legends: Arceus article.
Scyther rarely comes out of Space-Time Distortions, but if he does, you can grab him Avalugg’s Legacy, Heart’s Crag, and Bonechill Wastes.
How to Evolve Scyther Into Kleavor in Pokemon Legends Arceus?
To evolve Scyther into Kleavor, players need to find a Black Augurite.
What, you didn’t think that this was going to be a straight forward affair, did you?
Wild Gravelers sometimes have one of these on them and will drop them when defeated. If you’ve read our article on how to evolve Graveler in Pokemon Legends: Arceus, then you should know where to find the stony faced chap.
Once obtained, evolving Scyther into Kleaver is as easy as taking candy from a Marill!
How To Get Kleavor In Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
So is it possible to just get Kleavor without any of the evolving malarky?
Well, if it is, I haven’t found him…
The only way I can see of getting Kleavor is to evolve Scyther using the Black Augurite. He hasn’t appeared in a Space-Time Distortion yet, but it could just be a super rare occurence.
How to Evolve Scyther Into Scizor In Pokemon Legends: Arceus?
Scyther evolves into Scizor using a metal coat…
… and that doesn’t mean that you’ve got to sit down and watch the entirety of Full Metal Jacket with him.
Scizor is a bug-steel Pokemon, and metal coats can either be bought at trading posts or collected when catching a wild Scizor. Just use it on Scyther, and voila!
To be honest, Scizors come up quite often in Space-Time Distortions in the same locations as Scyther. They’re pretty common, so you shouldn’t have a hard time grabbing on.
In other words, save your Scythers for Kleavor evolutions and mine those Distortions for Scizors!
