This week, BitmoLab lifted the hood off their new limited edition, transparent GAMEBABY case for iPhone 17 Pro Max. This takes their iconic case featuring physical buttons that can be paired with games and emulators, but gives it a nostalgic design that nods to the early 2000s tech trends.

We speak closely with BitmoLab regularly, as they are a big supporter of our independent website, and one of the questions they asked was, "Is this priced right?" Although I had no concerns about the $34.99 price tag, their community has suggested a small reduction to make it more accessible.

BitmoLab has listened and is reducing the price of all of their GAMEBABY cases from $34.99 down to $24.99 for a limited time, a 29% reduction to please their community and offer the case to a wider audience interested in iPhone emulation.

⚠️
For those who ordered the Limited Edition GAMEBABY Case for iPhone 17 Pro Max before this announcement, BitmoLab will be refunding the difference, so don't worry!

To make things even better, we asked the Founder, Jack, for a discount code, exclusively for Retro Dodo readers, and he obliged! Retro Dodo readers can get an extra $2 off using code "RETRODODO" at checkout, making the total cost just $22.99 for a GAMEBABY case. To be completely transparent, Retro Dodo does earn a commission for every one sold too, which helps us as a small business.

For $22.99, I believe it's a great price. I have used my cases for a couple of years now. It's not perfect. I have told BitmoLab in the past that they need to work on making the connecting clasps between both cases stronger if they want to perfect the case. I also mentioned that my volume button was sticky on prototypes, which they eventually fixed.

So, if you're on the market for a very minimal retro case that offers phyiscal buttons for your favourite emulation applications, this one is worth taking a closer look at. The buttons feature silicone pads underneath that touch the screen with zero latency, alongside the addition of menu buttons and top buttons that act as shoulder buttons in popular emulators such as Delta and Afterplay. Though do note it's a thin case, protection from drops is minimal.

It comes in a bright Yellow, a Grey version, which takes inspiration from, and the limited edition transparent version that was recently released and is limited to just 500 being made, shipping now at BitmoLab.com.
