An incredibly popular SNES game, originally developed in 1995 by Quintet, known as Terranigma, is getting a rerelease next year on modern hardware, all thanks to Clear River Games.
This game was incredibly popular on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and received many great reviews; it's a remarkable action role-playing game with impeccable storytelling and offered gamers a deep, intriguing adventure with remarkable character design by well known Manga-artis Kamui Fujiwara.
Terranigma: Rebirth was announced today on Pixel Arcadia's livestream, a new retro-focused showcase revealing games, hardware and more on both retro and modern platforms.
Quite simply, Terranigma is about a young kid named Ark, who accidentally opens a mysterious door in his small village, which then unleashes a chain of events that eventually leads him on a long journey to practically recreate the world. Sounds crazy, right? It's even crazier to think they crammed all that onto an SNES cartridge.
Ark explores the world on a darn important mission, reviving continents, animals, and eventually the world, all while discovering why it was being destroyed in the first place. This release will happen in 2027 and be available to purchase and download on all modern hardware, and can even be wishlisted on Steam today.
