Where To Buy And Change Outfits In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

  • November 19, 2022

If you’re anything like me, customising your character is a big deal – I can spend hours getting my look just right.

Luckily, in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet there’s plenty of opportunities to change up your look whenever you want.

Alongside the abundance of shops scattered across the Paldea region, you can also access your Outfits menu at any time during the game. It’s perfect for last minute outfit changes or if you want to alter your appearance completely.

The only thing you can’t change is your hairstyle. For that you need to visit a Hair Salon, a topic we’ve covered extensively in our how to change your hairstyle in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet guide.

I bet you’re keen to get some fancy new threads now, am I right? I knew it! So let’s learn where to buy those stylish items and how to change into them.

Where To Buy Outfits In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To buy new outfits in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet visit the Mesagoza shops. In the main plaza you will find hats, glasses, socks, gloves, and bags ready to try on. Enter a shop to start browsing their wares, then use the A button to select your purchase. You can pay either in Pokedollars or LP (League Points).

Unlike in Pokemon Sword & Shield there are separate shops for separate items – you can’t visit the hat store and expect to get glasses at the same time.

Fortunately, it’s easy to spot which shop offers what, just look for the accessories in the window or for the logo on the building. Sometimes a shop will sell more than one type of accessory, when this happens the types of items you can browse are highlighted yellow.

Now, you could leave your makeover here, but seeing as you’ve got some news clothes you might as well get changed!

How to Change Outfits In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

To change outfits in pokemon Scarlet & Violet press the left arrow on your D Pad. This will open up the Outfits menu where you can change your uniform and try on new accessories. If you want to change your appearance as well, press the + button to open the “Change Look” menu.

Personally, I love being able to update my style without visiting a changing room, it just gives more freedom. After all, there’s no time to dally when you’re trying to become the Paldea Champion.

It’s also worth mentioning that you can reject any outfit changes you make by pressing the B button. This won’t get rid of your items, just revert your outfit back to the previous one. We love simplicity.
