If you're unaware, TRIMUI lifted the covers off two new handhelds recently, one called the Brick Hammer Pro, a plastic, upgraded variant of the old Brick Hammer, with more power, two analogue sticks, a bigger screen and a $85 price tag, which can already be pre-ordered via TRIMUI themselves.

They held back on revealing the pricing and release date of the Brick Hammer Pro U, a metal version, with more power than the Hammer Pro, for those wanting the ability to emulate PS2 games on a metal body. However, I've done some snooping and have found the retail price and release date.

Via TRIMUI.net

TRIMUI's product page of the Hammer Pro U has gone live on one of their many websites, under the radar, stating that the price will be $199.99 at launch, which is what many of us expected, and sits in the middle between "affordable" and "premium" in my opinion. Though it cannot be pre-ordered yet from their official website, a contact of ours at TRIMUI has shared information about its release.

They have informed us that the release date has been "tentatively scheduled for July" and I have matched that up with MechDIY's recent listing of the Hammer Pro U that states shipping begins in "Late July", a month after shipping begins of the Brick Hammer Pro.

I am unsure why MechDIY has listed this device for $359 on their website and is already available for pre-order before TRIMUI themselves have opened up purchases. I understand third parties have a premium, but that price seems astronomically high, so be wary out there, folks. I would wait for TRIMUI's official announcement before pulling any triggers.

To add to the confusion, TRIMUI has two websites, one called TrimuiStore.com and another called Trimui.net. We have contact with TrimuiStore, but they have not informed us which site is official, even if both are in operation. It's incredibly confusing, off-putting and makes TRIMUI look incredibly unprofessional for Western buyers interested in their company. I'll do my best to keep you updated when I hear more information from TRIMUI I have emailed them for confirmation.
