Do you know how long I've waited to write that Gandalf quote in a title? Here's a first look at the Lord of the Rings Shire Set featuring Gandalf, Bilbo, Bag End, and a whole cast of supporting Hobbits to keep you occupied.
From what I've seen so far, the attention to detail on the set is amazing with lots of the key scenes from the beginning of The Fellowship of the Ring there for you to relive in miniature blocky form (just like watching the original DVDs compared to the Blu-rays). Recreate Gandalf coming up the road to Hobbiton in his horse and cart, throw Bilbo's 111th birthday party, duck as the firework dragon soars overhead, and pretend to be Sam as he definitely doesn't 'drop no eaves'.
The image above comes to us thanks to Brick Fanatics who have found a single picture of the exterior of The Shire set. While the exterior is incredible, you just know that 'the magic', so to speak, is going to be under the hill within the Hobbit Hole itself. I wonder if it will come with Bilbo's pantry and map room, or a LEGO version of There and Back Again: A Hobbit's Tale?
We don't have any details on the release date for this set or what the price will be, but rest assured I'll be keeping an eye out for more details as and when they arrive.
