The Super Mario Bros. Movie Now Has A Hot Sauce

Super Mario Bros. Movie Hot Sauce by Truff

Following the wildly successful release of the Super Mario Bros. Movie, we can now show our love for Mario with a new line of hot sauce from Truff.

The film had a very busy week at the box office, being one of the most profitable animated films of all time and being rated “awesome” by the entire Retro Dodo team.

And we’ve been watching the merchandising collaborations explode as well.

This week we heard news about the upcoming physical releases of the Super Mario Bros. Movie Soundtrack and Super Mario Bros. Movie DVD.

Before that was a line of Lush bath products, a bunch of new Lego sets, and a new Mario Switch bundle.

So why not add a hot sauce to the mix while we’re at it?

Truff makes delicious hot sauce products with an emphases on their favorite ingredient: the truffle.

And their stuff is freakin’ awesome!

That’s two times we’ve used the word “awesome” in this article. So it’s only fitting to see these two awesome worlds collide.

(That’s three times now, but who’s counting).

The set of Mario themed Truff sauces comes in three flavors:

Original Hot Sauce (Toad) is a unique blend of red chili peppers, water, vinegar, sugar, garlic, salt, agave nectar, olive oil and black truffles.

White Hot Sauce (Peach) is a unique blend of red chilli peppers, water, vinegar, sugar, garlic, salt, agave nectar, olive oil and white truffles. It also has extra white truffle concentrate for extra truffle-y-ness.

Hotter Sauce (Mario) is a unique blend of red chili peppers, water, vinegar, sugar, garlic, salt, agave nectar, olive oil and black truffles. This one also has red habanero for that extra kick.

The set of three sauces will run you $69.99USD, a small price to pay for a years worth of Mario, Toad, and Peach on your tacos or french fries.

They come in a super beautiful collectors box, and it is certainly something you’d want to display proudly.

So whether or not you’ll actually open up those sauces is gonna’ be your difficult choice.

The Truff website currently has the hot sauce listed as sold out. We’re not sure if that is because they actually sold out that quick or if they have not been made to order yet.

They are not a pre-sale item, and Truff are saying they will ship within two weeks of your order.

So it sounds like they they actually did sell out after all!

It’s not all that surprising really with how quickly these kinds of collector’s items have been disappearing lately!

Take our advice – it’s best to keep an eye on the Truff website and sign up for stock notifications if you’d like to get your Mario hot sauces.
