I don't like going more than a couple of days without writing about a Pokémon ROM Hack - I start to feel like something's amiss, and that's probably because they're some of my favourite things to write about. But luckily, you guys keep knocking out awesome ideas and creations that are scratching that alternative Pokémon game itch!
Welcome to the region of Fauna, a region in decline. The guardians who protected the area have disappeared, and it's now up to you to combine their power so that you can save the region. It's a new story from the mind of developer Muddy, made using Pokémon Essentials v21.1 + RPGMaker XP. Fauna has tonnes of new secrets to find as well as 333 Pokémon and 5 new critters to find.
Players will need to find and catch Guardian Pokémon to get their unique Guardian Moves, a nice touch that makes it feel a little like you're collecting superpowers, which I really like. I also like the addition of minibosses and the Gym Type Randomiser, the latter of which allows you to mix up the type specialities of all the Gyms and the Elite Four, giving you a different challenge every time you play.
