I’ve played every Pokemon game since Red and Blue in a mission to ‘catch ’em all’, and my trip into the Johto region for these two DS games was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life…
… up there with meeting my girlfriend and the first time I watched the Muppets Christmas Carol, in no particular order.
But where has this news come from? Who’s let the Meowth out of the bag?

Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver – A Remake On The Cards?

Pokmon Gold and Silver first came out on the Gameboy Color back in 1999. They’re two of the best Gameboy Color games of all time, and the DS remakes in 2009 only made them better!
HeartGold and SoulSilver incorporate all of the best bits of this Johto-pocket-monster-snatching adventure and turn them up to 11.
They improved an already groundbreaking formula with enhanced graphics and more Pokemon to add to your collection. They addressed the clunky menu system of the original games and added online trading and battling functions.
Just think about that; no more annoying link cables to mess around with! Thousands of Pokemon flying across digital airwaves all around you; it’s the stuff that dreams are made of!

In recent years, the enormous success of Pokemon Go has meant that more Poke trainers have been setting off on adventures than ever before, be it in the park, on the bus, or from the comfort of their beds.
When Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu and Eevee dropped, my mind was well and truly blown, and the prospect of another classic adventure being released have couldn’t come at a better time.
We all need something to look forward to after 2020; what a write off it’s been!
Where Did This Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver News Come From?
News dropped on Twitter that Nintendo has recently renewed its trademarks for Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
With all of the other Pokemon merch out there on the market, this doesn’t seem like something that they would need to do if they were just pushing out cuddly toys and Wobbuffet lunchboxes in time for Christmas.
No; we’re confident that it’s something more exciting than that. With the final part of the DLC for Sword and Shield now available to play, there has to be a new adventure on the horizon.
Let’s Go Pikachu and Eevee were released back on November 16 2018. Does that mean we’re weeks away from a surprise announcement?

What Will The New Pokemon Game Be Like?
The first Pokemon Let’s go games were remakes of the original Red and Blue Kanto adventures, possibly the best Gameboy games of all time. We’re 99% certain that we’re about to have a similar remake of the Johto classics, with all of the same exciting Pokemon catching action and new battle styles.
We’ve already had the challenge of defeating Mewtwo and the legendary birds; it’s time for Ho-Oh and Lugia to step up to the plate once again!
When Will The New Pokemon Game Be Released?

With rumours of a new Pokemon game dropping any time now, it’s obvious that Nintendo is keeping its cards close to its chest with this one.
If they can drop a Super Mario 64 remake with only a couple of weeks till launch date, then there could be a similar short wait time for the new Pokemon HeartGold & SoulSilver offering.
One thing is for certain though; these adventures will be an absolute credit to the Nintendo Switch catalogue. They would also confirm the inclusion of more titles in the series heading our way too.
Could we be seeing Let’s Go Diamond and Pearl in 2022?
I’m holding out for Pokemon Stadium on the new N64 mini, and with the new Pokemon Snap game dropping soon too there’s certainly a lot for fans of the franchise to be excited about!
