I'm not going to lie, I've thought about the Ocarina of Time remake every single day since I saw the Nintendo Direct. We only had about 2 minutes of footage, but that's all I needed to get more excited for a game than I've been since reading about Ocarina the first time around.
I've been wondering when I can actually bag a copy for myself, when I can give Nintendo more of my hard-earned cash to add more Zelda into my life, and it seems that I might not have to wait that long. According to a leak online, GameStop are taking pre-orders for the game in a couple of weeks' time.
Did the Ocarina of Time remake pre order date from GameStop get accidentally published?

Reddit user Naive_Associate posted a screenshot from Google showing that pre-orders would start on the 4th of August. If that's right, then there are just over 2 weeks until we can pre-order the game from GameStop and other outlets around the world.
There have been so many other rumours about a special Ocarina of Time version of the Switch 2 as well. Will Nintendo launch this at the same time? Hardware is about to go up in price in September, so maybe Nintendo is hoping for an influx of people buying the console before the price increase. If they offered a Switch 2 bundle with Ocarina of Time, I can imagine they would sell out 10-times over before September 1st!
Of course, this is just conjecture at this point, but it's something for us to look towards and hope is real. I guess we'll find out more in the coming weeks, and you can rest assured I'll be checking the likes of Amazon every single day until a date is revealed! I don't have a price yet either, but I'll pay whatever they charge anyway - Ocarina for life!
