The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time Remake Is Officially Coming This Year

It's happening... It's finally happening! I woke up this morning incredibly excited about the fact that we'd be getting a remake of my favourite game, and I've waited right until the end of the Nintendo Switch Direct with bated breath, hoping that I would see just a glimpse of the gameplay.

What I've seen has blown me away, and Nintendo didn't give away much! I really didn't think that I could love this game anymore, but the new visuals look astounding. Seeing young Link reborn in a brand new style for modern gamers, the textures in his house, the look of the straw... It's honestly a dream come true.

As I wrote in my excited article this morning, I've grown with this game. It's one of the very first games that I completed and is the story that made me both want to become a gaming journalist and a fantasy writer. You could say that I owe Miyamoto my entire career, and you would be right!

There's no word on when the remake is going to be released as of yet other than 2026, but I'm hoping that now we've seen some gameplay, we'll be hearing more details very soon. I'm so excited to get my hands on this game and to relive battling Shadow Ganon, Twinrova, and Volvagia, this time in crisp 4K.

I'm going to stop talking and let you take a look at the clip at the end of the Direct yourself because it's absolutely stunning!
