We're big fans of the TRIMUI Brick, with Brandon citing the latest iteration, the TRIMUI Brick Hammer as the best handheld to play Pokémon ROM hacks on. It's a handheld that's small enough to keep in your pocket or EDC and take with you everywhere, doing exactly what it says on the tin with great performance and a sharp display that has never let us down yet.
A leak on Chinese social media has shown that TRIMUI are working on what we believe to be the Brick's final form, a handheld that will rival the ANERNIC RG477V, which we also believe is days away from being announced fully now that we've got the final specs list.
And yes, TRIMUI have done the only thing they had left to do to upgrade the Brick - put two joysticks on it. A post from Retro Gaming With Deadfred on their X account shows the new sticks in full detail, filling the space in the middle of the handheld and removing the need to remap the D-pad for certain games. Effectively, it'll cater for the people who want to play PS1 and N64 games on the Brick with more control, but I personally think the Brick lends itself to Game Boy emulation more than anything anyway, so it's not something I personally think I'd need.

That being said, there is also chatter that the screen will be bigger, which would make home console titles from the CRT era more enjoyable to play. Retro Gaming With Deadfred claims that the screen will be 4", which I think is a reasonable increase from the current model's 3.2" screen. It may even go up to 4.5, but that's just speculation on my part at this point.
Apart from a lower price point, I think that customers would opt for this new TRIMUI Brick over the RG477V because of the latter's glass front. When I covered the specs list and early look at ANBERNIC's latest handheld, there were lots of comments saying 'we're done with smudgy glass fronts' and other such sentiments. The brick has a durable plastic feel that makes it look more like an Apple product, and the bezels are super thin without making the whole front out of glass. If TRIMUI made a metal version of this handheld like the Hammer and managed to get it under ANBERNIC's price point for the RG477V, then I think they could really be on to a winner.
As of this point, that's all the information I have, and as it's a leak, we don't actually know how credible it is yet. As always, I'll be back with more concrete evidence as and when I get it, and now that this news is out there, I would imagine TRIMUI will work quickly to get their final finished product revealed officially!
