Every now and again, a new LEGO Ideas set drops that is the perfect display piece. There are some sets that I would love to sit and play with like I did back when I was a kid (we know I'm talking about this LEGO Pikmin set that I've not stopped thinking about ever since it released), but this new homage to Sony's console timeline is a perfect miniature that I would stick underneath my TV to show off my love for these legendary machines.

This set comes from the mind of MexxBrixx, who is already a 10K club member, meaning that they've already made projects that have reached the 10K voted needed to get them in front of the LEGO Ideas panel. The consoles themselves are tiny and wouldn't actually takemuch building, buit they're instantly recognisable and perfectly recreated in mini block form.

Just check out the curves on the PS3 console above, and the little touches like having wires on the first two consoles and wireless for the remaining units. Ok, the PSP is super simple, but when it's placed on top of the PlayStation controller symbols themselves, it ties in all aspects of Sony's gaming history and the consoles that gave us so many happy memories over the years (sorry, Vita, but you've not made the cut unfortunately!).

The PS5 looks super clean and even has the trademark curved outer shell. MexxBrixx loves their miniatures and has spent their life thus far creating miniature models, so there's no wonder they're making such incredible LEGO figurines. At just 344 pieces, it won't take forever to build, but the great part about the set is that it's all made from real LEGO pieces rather than 3D printed.

Now that the project has surpassed 1,000 votes, it has a further 482 days at the time of writing to reach the next milestone of 5K votes. You can back the set for free on the official LEGO Ideas page, so show some support and help to make it a reality!
