As I mentioned in our previous news post about Mangmi revealing their screen specifications, I had a funny feeling that they would trickle out more news throughout the coming days, and that's exactly what's happening.

Today, Mangmi has revealed the processors used in both the Air Y and Air Y Pro handhelds that are likely to be released at the end of the month and to be fair, these are some good processors to use if you want to squeeze our GameCube and above emulation.

For example, the Air Y will be using the Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 processor, the same one used in their older Air X, and if you remember from our written review of this device, we could just about squeeze out PS2 emulation on a handful of games, which was very impressive for its $99 price tag. So perhaps they are trying to price this similarly, which would mean it directly competes with the recently released TRIMUI Brick Pro.

However, the Air Y Pro is being packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 CPU, the same one used in their larger Pocket Max handheld, which is an absolute beast and easily emulates PS2 at upscaled resolutions, alongside capping out many of my Android games when I was testing it. It was so good in fact that it became one of my favourite Android handhelds to use, so I'm genuinly excited about seeing this level of power in a form-factor like this from Mangmi.

Could it be too much power for the 4.2" display? Perhaps, but I think many will enjoy seeing flawless PS2 emulation on something that can fit in your pocket, just.

The images shared also show the top of the device for the first time, showing what looks like an SD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, which I prefer at the bottom, but fine, and a USB-C port, likely for charging and/or video out. There is no information of release date or pricing as of yet.
