If I told you that LRG are releasing a 'Will It Play DOOM' package in a box that also plays DOOM as well as having an enhanced version of the game inside it, then I guess your mind would be blown right? Well, it's happening, and it's instantly apparent from the get-go that they're pulling out all the stops for this next limited release!

Enhanced versions of the id Software classics are heading to Switch, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S & PC with presales for the games and much more beginning on Friday 18th April 2025 with three different editions dropping at varying price points that will either be astronomical or well worth the money depending on how much you love DOOM.

I say 'much more' because the amount of merchandise on offer in the different box sets is absolutely wild. The $100 Big Box set comes with a 4 cassette tape soundtrack for those ultimate nostalgic feels and epic DOOM trading cards in foil packs bearing Doom Guy's noggin on them. These can also be bought separately for $7.99 if you want to start building the best card collection this side of hell.

If you're a bonafide DOOM fan, then you can go all out with the ultimate Will It Play box set that comes with a Cacodemon Handheld that plays DOOM, a floating Cacodemon, a certificate of authenticity, and all of the features of the Big Box Set above. Oh, and the fact that the box itself plays DOOM; I guess for $666, the least you can ask for is the box to play the game too!

In true DOOM fashion, there are only 666 copies of the $666 Will It Play set. Still, if you just want a copy of the game for your chosen system, you can pick one up for $29.99, and every version of the game, standard or otherwise, comes with Sigil 1 & 2 as well. The games come with multiple new enhancements including 16-player cross-platform online deathmatches, BOOM source compatibility, an In-game mod browser³, new accessibility options, and more, as well as upgraded visuals and support for modern controllers.
