How To Unlock Galactic Mode In Mario Strikers Battle League

  • June 11, 2022

If you’re looking to send Mario and co to the big leagues, then you’ll need to know how to unlock Galactic Mode in Mario Strikers Battle League!

I’ve been playing the game pretty much non stop since it release yesterday (or June 10th if you’re reading this in the future). I’m not one to brag, but Luigi and Yoshi have been knocking back more perfect shots than I’ve had hot dinners.

In other words, I’ve aced the normal mode and now need more of a challenge.

Enter Galactic Mode, the mode that will make you go from loving to hating Mario Strikers in a matter of seconds.

Which is usually how long it takes the opposition to score now too…

Let’s check out what Galactic Mode is and how it works!

How Do I Unlock Galactic Mode In Mario Strikers Battle League?

How To Unlock Galactic Mode In Mario Strikers Battle League - trophies

Galactic Mode is Hard Mode in Mario Strikers Battle League. It is unlocked by competing all the previous six cups in Normal Mode.

Once players complete normal mode, the credits begin to roll. You’ll see all the characters pulling off Hyper Strikes to some gnarly guitar riffs in the background, including the voice actors for all the different characters.

When the credits end, you’ll see all six trophies appear on the screen with a message of congratulations.

You should also have a bucket-load of coins by this point to spend on gear too!

What Is Different In Galactic Mode?

Galactic Mode is for the players that really want a challenge, with both the difficulty level and coin stakes raised in each cup.

Instead of winning 400 coins, players bag 1,000 coins for taking home the trophy.

Though you’ll probably end up spending more coins than you earn trying to stay in the game!

How Hard Is Galactic Mode In Mario Strikers Battle League?

Galactic Mode in Mario Strikers Battle League isn’t for the faint hearted. If you enjoyed the Normal Mode, then you’re about to hate the Hard Mode.

The players are faster, the items throwing is more frequent, and finding space to charge up a shot is nigh on impossible.

It’s a good job we love a challenge!

Waluigi spent most of his time stamping up and down in my last match, and I shouted so loud I think I’ve ripped a hole in the fabric of time!

Can I Replay A Lost Match In Mario Strikers Battle League?

How To Unlock Galactic Mode In Mario Strikers Battle League - how to replay a lost match

Remember how I said you could use coins to buy gear? Well, you can also use coins to replay a lost match without going all the way back to the start of the tournament.

The sneaky thing is that the amount it costs you to replay a match doubles every time you lose.

I was playing the canon cup while writing this article and refused to pay 400 coins on my third try for the title match. Talk about daylight robbery!

And that’s a wrap!

Thanks for checking out this article on how to unlock Galactic Mode in Mario Strikers Battle League. Hopefully you’re enjoying the increased difficulty and not tearing your hair out too much.
