How To Get Smoliv In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (The Easy Way)

From the mystery gift codes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet to beating the Gym Leaders, there’s a lot for trainers to get stuck into. If you’re focusing on gyms right now, how to beat Katy (Cortondo Gym) might be a helpful article for you.

But for many, myself included, the beauty of Pokemon is in, well, catching Pokemon.

Today, we have another how-to guide, this time featuring a salty fella known as Smoliv. What is it about Pokemon and its food based creatures? We’re not complaining, but we are getting hungry!

This teensy Grass and Normal type frequents the landscape surrounding Cortondo Gym, rather fitting considering the Gym Challenge there. If you want to know how to get Smoliv the answer is within reach.

Where To Catch Smoliv In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

You can only find Smoliv in the South Province of Paldea, in the olive fields surrounding Cortondo.

Seriously, the area is teeming with them.

Obviously, this means they’re pretty common as far as Pokemon go, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t worthy of a home inside a Pokeball. Especially considering its Tera type is Normal, which could give you an advantage in battle when Grass is a weakness.

Better still, its evolutions require no special items or conditions – simply level up Smoliv to level 25 for it to transform into Dolliv. Then keep levelling up until level 35 to reach its final evolution of Arboliva.

If you’re someone who relishes a challenge you can try to evolve Pawmi, though you might need to read the how to evolve Pawmo into Pawmot article for guidance.

And while you’re in Cortondo why not keep on the lookout for Maschiff, a Dark type Pokemon with yellow and orange fur. Use our how to get Maschiff in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet guide for extra help.

You’ve added another new friend to the collection – wow, we really are catching ‘em all! Don’t forget to read Retro Dodo’s how to beat Brassius guide if you fancy continuing the Victory Road storyline.
