Argonaut Games have had a great come back so far, and they've been on everyone's minds quite a lot of late. Not only did they cause mass excitement with the return of Croc on both modern consoles and the ModRetro Chromatic, but they've also recently teased the return of N64 stalwart Buck Bumble, the baddest bee in the wild.

Argonaut Games are back in the news today after footage of their unreleased sequel to 2003's I-Ninja has appeared online thanks to the hard-working team over at Games That Weren't. I-Ninja released on the PS2, GameCube, Xbox, and Windows to mixed reviews from critics, but fans instantly fell in love with it. Argonaut planned to release a sequel and, according to the footage, seemed to be pretty far along with it, but when the studio shut down a year later in 2004, all hopes of a sequel were lost.

Concept images have surfaced over the years from people working on the project showing the progression of the game and how things were supposed to have evolved, but this video from an anonymous supporter has given undeniable evidence that the game was in production.

The clip is only 20 seconds long, so it's not exactly going to give you the full picture, but it's better than not knowing the game exists at all. There isn't a build that you can play as of yet, but look at the likes of Dinosaur Planet - just because the game wasn't release doesn't mean that files won't appear and the game won't eventually be completed. The Retro Gaming community can do anything they set their mind to, after all!
