The entirety of the tech world is focused on Las Vegas for CES 2025, with more incredible gadgets than you’ll find in Bruce Wayne’s garage being announced and displayed for the world to see. I’ve been following all the releases and announcements incredibly closely and have come across some weird and wonderful accessories, from electric salt spoons to a full-body chair that looks like Bumblebee from Transformers crossed with a cryogenic tank that’s designed to massage you from head to toe.
While the world is focusing on robots that pick up socks, autonomous farming equipment, and smart glasses, I’ve been looking out for all the announcements surrounding retro gaming products and gadgets that invoke maximum nostalgia coming out of the convention center. I’ll be listing all of the retro gaming products and retro-inspired gear mentioned at CES 2025 and updating this article daily as the announcements drop. So, if you’re fed up with seeing self-charging keyboards and want something that feels like it’s dropped straight from the 90s, then you’re in the right place!

1. Atari X My Arcade Gamestation Go
![The Atari x My Arcade Game Station Go](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/atari-my-arcade-gamestation-go-1160x653.jpg)
Let’s kick things off with an exciting collaboration between Atari and My Arcade and a handheld that we’ve been expecting to see for some time now after it was initially revealed last year and seemingly left on the back burner. I know we’re all excited about the Nintendo Switch 2 dropping and that many people are still hoping Doug Bowser might get on stage and announce the new console before the event finishes, but the Gamestation Go will more than keep me occupied until then.
Atari announced that they were going to ‘do what they do best’ and concentrate on retro when they brought back Infogrames last year, and looking at the images of their new handheld, they could well have created the most unique retro handheld of all time. The Gamestation Go is set to provide the closest experience to using a retro arcade cabinet while relaxing on your back on the sofa (although if you want to play a cabinet, then keep reading!).

Let’s start with the numeric keypad, a feature that die-hard Atari fans will have no doubt used on previous Atari consoles and also a means of playing Intellivision games, which if you’ve been following your retro gaming news you’ll know Atari now owns. It’s situated on the right-hand side of the console where you might find a camera-angle joystick and is easily accessible by your thumb for some quick-fire number-crunching.
On the left-hand side of the handheld, there’s a small Atari Trak-ball reminiscent of the larger versions on classic Aracade cabinets like Centipede and just like the Atari 2600 peripheral. There’s also a paddle control, giving the Gamestaion Go more bells and whistles than the PlayDate!
2. GAMEBABY
We were incredibly excited to be one of the first publications to get hold of the BitmoLab GAMEBABY for a review, an iPhone game case built exclusively for Retro Gamers to enjoy playing their favourite games on the go. The GAMEBABY has been in development for some time now, and at the same as we launched our video of their early prototype, Bitmo Lab were setting up their stall at the convention centre to show their product off to the masses.
Since Apple allowed emulators into the App Store last year, Delta has quickly become one of the most downloaded apps of all time, a fact that Riley Testut was incredibly proud of when we spoke to him on the Retrospect Podcast. As you can see from the video above, the GAMEBABY is comprised of two pieces; a protective case that stays fixed to the top half of the back of your phone, and a lower piece that slides off and reattaches to the front of your phone. Instead of pressing virtual buttons on your phone, you can actually press physical buttons that connect with your screen, giving you that original hardware feeling no matter where you are and in between Facetiming your dad to tell him how to work the dishwasher and using your calendar to book in meetings.
You can find out more about the GAMEBABY in our official review, and don’t forget to check out our Retro Dodo skin for Delta of which all the profits go to charity!
3. My Arcade Super Retro Champ
![Super Retro Champ handheld from My Arcade](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/super-retro-champ-1-1160x653.jpg)
After being first announced at CES back in 2020, the Super Retro Champ is finally releasing in 2025. For those of you who never saw the first announcement, it’s a handheld that plays both SNES and Sega Genesis/Mega Drive cartridges in one handheld, taking your retro collection off the CRT and out into the world.
While not the most portable handheld of all time, it does offer you the option of playing classic games like Rocket Knight Adventures and Mario Superstars on the go or in tabletop mode with wireless controllers. You can even hook it up to your TV, scrapping the need for either console. It might not be the most nostalgic piece of kit, but it certainly provides an alternative method of playing for retro gamers who have a large physical cartridge collection.
The only real change from the original announcement is that the Super Retro Champ will now cost $149 instead of $110.
4. Govee Retro Gaming Pixel Light
![The Govee Retro Gaming Pixel Light in two sizes](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/govee-pixel-light-1160x653.jpg)
Remember the Lite Brite? It was one of the most sought-after toys in the 80s and is still loved by nostalgia hunters everywhere. Intuitive lighting company Govee have released a WiFi-connected gadget called the Gaming Pixel Light that aims to give your workspace, games room, or living room an 8-bit feel.
In a nutshell, the Gaming Pixel Light is an LED Display that you can either have designs on or use as a display to keep up to date with important notifications or updates. You can even create custom images if the pre-made images don’t take your fancy, and it utilises AI to create lighting shows to accompany you as you play your favourite retro games. Imagine going into beat Ganondorf in Ocarina of Time while this thing blinks away next to you setting the tone for a fantastic adventure. You can even hook up multiple devices too!
5. SEGA & My Arcade Mini Arcade Cabinets
![my arcade sonic shinobi mini cabinets](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/my-arcade-sonic-shinobi-cabs-1160x653.webp)
Not content with just announcing a team-up with Atari, My Arcade have also announced during CES 2025 that they’re collaborating with SEGA with some new mini arcade cabinets. Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe, and Shinobi are all arriving in miniature cabinet form with Outrun and Streets of Rage joining the fray too.
As you can see in our dedicated news article, there will be two variants based on the first Sonic the Hedgehog game, with each cabinet concentrating on a different play style using different button layouts and joystick sizes. The Shinobi and Golden Axe cabinets will also arrive in the same style too, and the Outrun cabinet is even equipped with a tiny steering wheel. That means I will no longer have to go to the local NQ64 bar to show my mate Josh that I’m the best Outrun player in Yorkshire. If you’re reading this Josh, it’s on brother!
These arcade cabinets are going to look so good on your desk, giving your work setup a retro twist and providing you with an excuse to procrastinate heavily every time an annoying email comes through. The attention to detail on these things is perfect too and the Sonic cabinet above really takes me back to the days of playing the interactive Sonic Mountain pinball game I had as a kid!
6. Gadhouse COSMO Solar Turntable
![The Gadhouse COSMO Solar Turntable in three colours](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/gadhouse-solar-turntable-1160x653.jpg)
I’m a huge vinyl fan and have been slowly building my collection of records over the last couple of years. We’ve reviewed some incredible retro gaming-related records in that time too, and now Gadhouse have announced a retro-themed turntable that you can slot seamlessly into your games room for kicking back and listening to the Mortal Kombat soundtrack while button-mashing on the SNES.
The COSMO Solar Edition has built-in speakers for those short on space or can be hooked up to external bookshelf speakers if you need a little more bass (which as a self-certified vinyl nerd I would wholeheartedly recommend). It’s been announced as costing $199/£199 and will be releasing in three colours, all of which are planet-themed which should come as no surprise. Choose from Neptune Blue, Venus Red, and Jupiter Green!
7. MCON Magnetic Gaming Controller
![Mcon gaming controller in flip mode (left) and handheld mode showing the phone screen (right)](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/mcon-gaming-controller-1160x653.jpg)
I recently did a news post on the MCON Magnetic Gaming Controller, the all-in-one mobile gaming solution that could well put Backbone out of business. Streamlined to look more like a DS when folded up and a unit that works via Bluetooth with any smartphone regardless of whether it has MagSafe capabilities or not, it features Hall-effect joysticks, silent buttons, flip-out arms to give you a more ‘standard controller’ feel, and a flip-up mechanic to allow you to go from phone mode to game mode in seconds like you’re holding a Swiss Army knife.
While Ohsnap! announced the MCON before CES and I’ve watched it become one of the most successful Kickstarter campaigns I’ve seen in a long while, I know the team are currently there showing their new creation at the convention and will be sitting comfortably showing how easy it is to play more demanding emulator games such as N64 and PlayStation titles as well as pulling up PS5 games such as Ghost of Tsushima without having to cart around a bulky Playstation Portal. The MCON is currently priced at $99 on Kickstarter with an RRP of $149 once the campaign finishes.
8. Street Fighter XXL Arcade Cabinet
![](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/xxxl-arcade-cabinet-street-fighter-1160x653.jpg)
Miniature arcade cabinets are great if you don’t have a lot of room or you want something to sit next to your computer to play whenever you have a tea break, but what about if you want to truly recreate that arcade hall feeling with a large-scale cabinet? Iconic Arcade have entered the fray with their 9/10 scale cabinets measuring 67″ high, each powered by a Raspberry Pi 5 and boasting a 19″ screen. They have a fake coin slot to take you back to a time when your pocket money would be weighing down your jeans on the way to challenge your friends, and they’re jam-packed with more Street Fighter action than a weekend sparring against Ryu and Chun Li.
Iconic Arcade have announced two new cabinet designs based on Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter Alpha 2, with both cabinets offering users the same 14 games and costing $699 on pre-order ($799 RRP). Get ready to delve into Street Fighter 2, Street Fighter 2: Champion Edition, Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Hyper Street Fighter 2: The Anniversary Edition, Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Street Fighter Alpha 3, Street Fighter 3: Third Strike, Final Fight, Knights of the Round, 1944, Progear and Giga Wing 2.
9. My Arcade X Atari Balls of Steel Pinball Player Pro
![](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/myarcade-balls-of-steel-1160x653.jpg)
I’ve got back into playing pinball again after trying to win Waluigi as an ally multiple times in Super Mario Party Jamboree, so I’m pretty excited about this My Arcade X Atari Balls of Steel Pinball Player Pro machine. Obviously, it follows the same stance as My Arcade’s other miniature offerings and is big enough to sit on your desk as opposed to taking up half of your living room, but it still looks incredible with some serious attention to detail.
Costing $149 and made from wood with an illuminated backglass and a 7″ display, players can take advantage of 7 tables based on the PC game. If you’re at CES right now, then head to Booth #15146 in the Central Hall to have a go yourself!
10. My Arcade X Bandai-Namco X Capcom Gamestation Retro Go
![My Arcade X Bandai-Namco X Capcom Gamestation Retro Go handheld showing A scene from a Street Fighter game](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/my-arcade-bandai-capcom-1160x653.jpg)
They should have really named CES 2025 the ‘My Arcade Announcement Festival’! The Gamestation Go isn’t the only handheld coming out of My Arcade HQ; we’ve also got the Retro Go, another Nintendo Switch-esqe console this time jam-packed with old Bandai-Namco and Capcom games like Galaga, Mega Man, Pac-Man, and many more – over 100, in fact! The handheld is set to have an 8″ display and cost $199 when it releases later in the year.
11. Gamestation Retro Mega
![Gamestation Retro Mega arcades from Atari and Bandai-Namco/Capcom](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/my-arcade-cabinets-1160x653.jpg)
The Retro Mega collection will reportedly release with a Bandai-Namco & Capcom theme and an Atari theme with each cabinet offering a range of games from each franchise for us to play from the comfort of our favourite chair. They’re each made from wood and come with a 10.1″ vibrant display. I’m not sure why they opted for that extra 0.1 of an inch, but I guess that’s why I’m not on the My Arcade design team.
Each cabinet is set to cost $299.99!
12. Atari Gamestation Gamepad
![Atari Gamestation Gamepad in black with multiple buttons and Trak-ball](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Atari-Gamestation-Gamepad-1160x653.jpg)
The My Arcade reveals continue with a gamepad that can be used with the GameStation range of products. If you like the look of the controls on the Gamestation GO at the top of this article, then you can have them all on a wireless rechargeable gamepad for $49.99.
13. Atari X My Arcade Gamestation Arcade Stick
![Atari X My Arcade Gamestation Arcade Stick in black with golden detailing](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Atari-Gamestation-Arcade-Stick-1160x653.jpg)
If you want the precision of the joystick controls from the arcade machine series with all the bells and whistles of the Gamestation Gamepad, then the Atari X My Arcade Gamestation Arcade Stick (these names are getting intense now) could be one to stick on your watch list. It’s being listed as costing $69.99 and looks to have more buttons than the Millennium Falcon!
14. Gamestation Retro Pro
![Gamestation Retro Pro console with wireless controllers](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/gamestation-retro-pro-1160x653.jpg)
If handheld gaming isn’t your thing, then My Arcade have released the Gamestation Pro for you to hook up to your TV with a 1080p HDMI Output and wireless controllers. It will offer all the same games as the Retro Go handheld and comes with a $149.99 price tag.
15. Gamestation Retro Gamepad
![Gamestation Retro Pro wireless controller](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/gamestation-retro-gamepad-1160x653.jpg)
And obviously, if you’re heavy-handed with your controller or just want to make sure you have spares for when your other controllers are charging, then you can buy the Retro Pro Gamepad separately too. It’s set to cost $39.99.
16. My Arcade Mighty Player and Pocket Player Max
![My Arcade handheld and cabinet PAC-MAN editions](https://retrododo.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/my-arcade-pacman-1160x653.jpg)
The Mighty Player and Pocket Player Max look like a PAC-MAN fan’s dream consoles. They certainly look a lot better than the monstrosity Amazon has put out about PAC-MAN as part of its Secret Level anthology at any rate! With PAC-MAN graphics on the side of the cabinet, a traditional arcade layout and the option of swapping between one or two players, the Mighty Player looks like it could be a lot of fun, especially since I’ve recently been spending a lot of time playing PAC-MAN at my local gaming bar – think of all the coins I’ll save getting one of these!
The Pocket Player Max definitely needs to be in my collection too, especially considering I’ve seen two pictures of it showing different versions of PAC-MAN on it – will it have PAC-MAN’s complete back catalogue on there? We don’t have any information about price or release date yet, but going on the pricing of the previous products in this list I think we can safely say the cabinet will cost $299 and the handheld around $149.
