Delta Finally Gets iPad Support With Latest Update

Delta for iPad

After a massive influx of iPhone emulator news with Apple relaxing its emulation rules and tons of articles coming out of Dodo HQ, there’s been a bit of a lull regarding new developments as of late. Delta dropped onto the iPhone followed by PPSSPP and RetroArch, and every Apple user felt content that they could finally play their favourite games on the go on their phones and experience tonnes of new Homebrew games in the process.

We’ve known for a while that Delta was coming to the iPad; I wrote an article at the end of April after Riley Testut made Delta for iPad available through the Alt store for his Patrons. Getting the iPhone rollout was obviously the most important factor at the time, but when he got that sorted and organised the whole logo legal battle, we knew that it wouldn’t be long till it became available for the public.

While Delta was available for the iPad already, it was simply a small iPhone-style emulator screen taking up the middle of the display. It wasn’t what you would exactly call impressive, but Delta fans finally have emulation that takes up the full iPad screen. The arrival of full Delta iPad support means that those who were a little confused by RetroArch and just looking to get Nintendo consoles on their iPad with simple controls can do so with little fuss now.

In this new update, there are improvements to the DS emulator’s performance as well as a feature to play GBA games on the DS emulator, plus you can now switch between iPhone and iPad seamlessly if you want to play at home and on the go. You can also use our guide on how to play on your TV using Airplay if you want a big-screen experience.

There’s still no news on the Delta Apple TV app, so you’ll have to stick with RetroArch for the time being. Here’s a guide on how to get RetroArch working on your Apple TV, essentially turning the little black box into a Retro Gaming powerhouse!
