Since Apple has relaxed their rules regarding emulators being allowed on their app store, it has opened up the floodgates to applications, and finally after a couple months of waiting RetroArch is here for us all to download on the App Store.

For those that don’t know, RetroArch is one of the most loved front ends for emulators, allowing gamers to source cores for most retro consoles you can think of. The simple user interface makes it easy to understand and because its open-source it’s constantly getting updates making it even more fluid as the years go by.

It also has no ads and it’s completely free making it an all-round application that every retro gamer needs. What’s also great about it is that it features retro achievements for those of you that want an extra hit of dopamine when playing your favourite retro games.

Not only that, it can save/load states, it accepts cheats, custom overlays, bluetooth controllers, fast forward/rewind and many more benefits that make it great.
