A Remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Could Be Imminent According To Insider

A Remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Could Be Imminent According To Insider

We like to keep our finger on the pulse of rumours here at Retro Dodo, especially when they revolve around remakes of classic games from our childhoods. There's been a lot of chatter about a remake of Oblivion heading to next-gen consoles for a while now, and almost 20 years since the original game dropped on Xbox 360 and PS3 a remake could reportedly drop any day now according to insider Jeff Grub. I mean, we've been waiting for follow up to Skyrim for years now, so at least this would give us something to pacify us for a little while longer!

Jeff appeared on Giant Bomb's Power Block stream and explained that the people in the know have told him that the game will shadowdrop 'at any moment this month'. It's going to be the same situation as when Nintendo shadowdropped Metroid Prime Remastered and I cancelled all the plans I had for the weekend to play it!

If the game is shadowdropping this month, then we've got a maximum of 22 days left to wait before we can see what upgrades come with the new remake and bask in the glory of its new graphics. Click on the video below to skip straight to the section where Jeff chats with Emma Fyffe about the rumour, and lets keep everything crossed!
