8BitDo Ultimate C Bluetooth Controller Revealed

8BitDo Ultimate C Bluetooth Controller Revealed

8BitDo have revealed their latest Bluetooth controller, the aptly named ”8BitDo Ultimate C Bluetooth Controller’.

Unveiled on Twitter this afternoon, the new controller is described as ‘simplified, with the same ultimate quality now with an ultimate price’.

8BitDo’s latest creation is compatible with Nintendo Switch and features a raft of exciting features including 6-axis motion control, non-linear Digital Triggers and an impressive battery life.

The 8BitDo Ultimate C Bluetooth Controller will be available in Pink, Blue and Orange and will sport texture grips. Perfect for when your sweaty hands could let you down as you battle Lynels in Tears of the Kingdom.

Elsewhere the controller features the Classic D-pad, returning from the 2022 Ultimate Controller, Double-shot buttons and Non-linear Digital Triggers. 8BitDo describe the latter as being ‘clicky and comfy’, delivering an experience that ‘feels exactly as you remembered it’. Sounds perfect for us retro gamers then!

It’s now available to pre-order on Amazon.

We’re big fans of the 8BitDo controllers here at Retro Dodo and we’re excited to get our hands on their latest creation. If it’s anywhere near as good as the Ultimate Controller for PC and Switch, we’ll certainly enjoy getting our mitts on it’s textured grips later this month.

Personally, I’m going to go for the pink version. Not only because I don’t already own a pink controller, but I think it will add to the immersion when I work my way through the later levels of Kirby and The Forgotten Land!
