Am I happy about the fact that the whole Zelda catalogue is slowly being decompiled? Yes, 100%. Any method of preserving these games for future generations and for me to play in as many guises as possible is a win in my book, and now that Twilight Princess has been fully decompiled alongside Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time, it means PC ports and extra quality of life features for some of the best titles in the series are just around the corner.

But where's The Wind Waker? How come we've skipped straight to Twilight Princess and forgotten about Eiji Aonuma's cel-shaded dream? Don't worry, readers, because the decompilation process is well underway, and it's currently sitting at 60% complete at the time of writing.

Check out a clip below!

As Video Game Esoterica explains in the video above, we already have HD Texture packs that can be implemented into a potential PC port. And then there's all the work that has been done with the likes of The Ship Of Harkinian, bringing different tunic styles, cheats, weapons, and more into Ocarina of Time.

It would be great to have Fierce Deity Link battling in the Forbidden Fortress, for example, and maybe putting other characters like Star Fox into Wind Waker. The possibilities are endless, and the fact that we're over the halfway point with the decompilation progress is fantastic. You can keep tabs on the whole process on decomp.dev.
