PlayStation Plus Premium members are about to experience a 90s arcade classic all over again from the comfort of their living rooms on both PS4 and PS5. Time Crisis is back, this time with all-new gyro aiming.

If you've never played Time Crisis before, then I question some of the life choices you've made. It's a light-gun shooter that requires you to use a plastic gun to aim at enemies on different parts of the screen, ducking to reload and hide from enemies.

The gyroscopic controls will allow you to use your controller in the same vein as the original lightgun, though we're yet to discover whether you can also click the controller to hide when reloading, etc. It won't be as cool as using a lightgun, but it's the next best thing!

All of the original levels from the home version of the game return, as well as the special stages. The game arrives on PS Plus for Premium members on May 19th, 2026, with the subscription costing users £13.49/$17.99 a month. Head to the PlayStation Plus website for more information and to sign up!
