We all know how amazing Chrono Trigger is; that's just a cold, hard fact. It's one of the greatest SNES games of all time, one of the most influential RPGs ever made, and still has a cult following 31 years later. The plot was way ahead of its time, which, considering the fact that it's all about time travel, is really saying something. And the amount of work that went into it, with all of the multiple endings and the intensely intricate narrative, is what has kept fans engrossed for over three decades. Can you tell I'm a fan?

SevenDeadlyBricks has put their love of this amazing RPG into brick form in a new LEGO Ideas set that went live yesterday. This build really is for the die-hard Chrono Trigger fans, featuring minifigures of all the characters, including Crono, Frog, Magus, Lucca, & Robo, as well as characters like Gaspar, the Guru of Time.

Writing on the LEGO Ideas page, SevenDeadlyBricks explains that the build features 'a time machine named the “Epoch” and the “End of Time” which is a location that exists beyond the normal flow of time. This place is a hub connected to all other time periods through portals, even a secret portal that leads to the Day of Lavos in 1999.'

Considering that it's been over three decades since the game released, the time is right to celebrate Chrono Trigger in all its glory in a set that, if I'm being honest, could be one of the most intricate depictions of a game that I've ever seen. LEGO Ideas like these blow some of the actual Nintendo gaming sets out of the water, and the retro gaming community agrees.

LEGO Ideas pieces initially have 60 days to reach 100 supporters. SevenDeadlyBricks has 63 supporters in one day, so the support is definitely out there.

If it reaches 10,000 supporters (you can support for free, don't forget), then it's put in front of the LEGO Ideas board to see if it becomes a proper set. I have no doubt that SevenDeadlyBricks will meet that goal, but maybe you should head to the LEGO Ideas page anyway and show this set some love just in case. (Go on, you know you want to!).
