Look, I know this film gets a bad rap... and some might say for good reason. Still, it's the very first video game adaptation movie that we ever had, which makes it a pretty momentous movie in the grand scheme of things. I featured it in my dedicated article about video game movies and covered the plans for the Mario Bros origins story in this film, the use of science to try and explain things, and some of the debacle around bringing this weird movie to life.

And honestly, if you haven't listened to the What Went Wrong podcast on the movie, then you should definitely put it on as it's incredibly fascinating.
