TAILS CELEBRATES WITH LOTS OF ANIMALS
  • Criteria – Use the Goal Plate to reveal the hidden Item Box

You can earn this trophy through dumb luck if the Goal Plate spawns the Item Box as you complete Act 1 of most stages however there is a guaranteed way to make the Goal Plate reveal the hidden Item Box in Sonic Superstars.

We recommend trying this on Bridge Island Zone Act 1 as it’s the first level of the game and arguably the easiest one to play through repeatedly if you aren’t able to get the Item Box to spawn.

Firstly, complete the level as usual, but when you reach the end of the Act, take care to not rush straight past the Goal Plate and instead stay near enough to bounce the Goal Plate into the air.

Continue to jump and bounce the Goal Plate until it lands directly in front of the giant penguin to the right of the screen. This should cause the Goal Plate to reveal the hidden Item Box while unlocking the ‘Two Birds, One Stone’ trophy or achievement.

SONIC FACES ROBOTNIK IN SPACE - Sonic Superstars Trophy & Achievement Guide
  • Criteria – Clear Zap Scrap in Frozen Base without taking damage

The next challenge for our Sonic Superstars Trophy & Achievement Guide is Zap Scrap Star.

To unlock this trophy or achievement, players must complete the level and defeat the boss at the end of Frozen Base Zone Act 2 without taking a single hit.

This battle isn’t as daunting as the trophy and achievement description sounds. Zap Scrap Star takes places in outer space with the player piloting a one of Eggman’s ships.

In his first phase, Eggman has a single attack that sees him firing meandering green bullets towards you. Keep holding the fire button and position yourself to hit the vent the green bullets emerge from but prioritise avoiding damage by ducking out of the way of fire whenever needed.

SONIC FACES ANOTHER VERSION OF ROBOTNIK IN SPACE

Eventually Eggman will move into his second phase, piloting a giant ship shaped like his own head while shields circle around him. He will occasionally rain down orange projectiles from above but these are easily dodged.

The ACT ”Fruit” level is the easiest of the three ACT ”Fruit” stages in the game and requires players to ascend through a series of platforms and ramps while the level auto scrolls behind them

Using Tails ability to fly will make short work of this otherwise challenging trophy and achievement.

TAILS COMPLETES ACT FRUIT - Sonic Superstars Trophy & Achievement Guide

Start the level by spin dashing up the ramp and immediately take flight. You need to collect as many rings as you can as you ascend the level. Popping balloons grants more ring bonuses and spinning all of the numbered tiles throughout the stage is essentially for scoring over 600 rings in a single attempt.

You need to reach the highest platform with at least 550 rings to achieve the 600 total rings when you open the final treasure chest.

37. Gold Enemy Hunter

SONIC STANDS NEXT TO A GOLD SEAL
  • Criteria – Defeat the gold enemies in all Stages

This is potentially the hardest and most time consuming trophy or achievement in Sonic Superstars.

Hidden in each level is a golden variant of a standard enemy. Simply finding and defeating the enemy doesn’t register the enemy as defeated.

If you die after defeating the gold enemy, all enemies in the level will return, including the gold ones therefore to get the game to register that the enemy has been defeated, you must complete the Stage without dying after beating the gold enemy.

You can check to see if a gold enemy has been defeated and registered on the level select screen. If a gold enemy has been defeated in a level, an icon will be added to the level menu as shown below.
