Polymega Launches SEGA "Mega Cartridge Adapter" Set For Their Modular Retro Console

Polymega's modular retro games console keeps getting better and better as the years go by, albeit it's still incredibly difficult to purchase due to it quickly selling out after batches are added to their website; nonetheless, their recent announcement makes their console even more appealing to SEGA nerds like myself.

Polymega has officially revealed their new CA03 Mega Cartridge Adapter Set, a collection of four cartridge adapters designed to work with their EM03 Mega Element Module that adds the ability to expand the console's library to accompany the SEGA Genesis, 32X and SEGA Mega Drive games/controllers.

If you're new here, yes, it's complicated; there's a wide range of attachments and accessories to get things working; it's Polymega's thing. This new adapter now allows you to insert Game Gear, Master System, SEGA Card, MARK iii, SG-1000, and SC-3000 catridges/cards into the console, opening up even more compatability with the long list of consoles it can play authentically.

The EM03 module comes with a SEGA Genesis-inspired controller to give you a modern, yet nostalgic gaming experience using this accessory. The CA03 Mega Cartridge Adapter Set is available to pre-order today, starting at £74/$99, and it will begin shipping in February 2027. Just note that the EM03 Mega Element Module is required for use (sold separately).
