A ROM hack of DS title Pokémon Platinum, Pokémon Renegade Platinum has a wealth of features, including the ability to catch all 493 of the first four generations of Pokémon, and much, much more besides. We’ve tested all of the cheats we could find for Pokémon Renegade Platinum, and have listed each working code here.
It’s worth noting that all of these cheat codes will need an emulator which supports code entry; even better if your emulator can auto-detect code types. Our recommendations for emulation on mobile devices would be DraStic; this is the emulator we’ve used to test the codes in this list. Codes can be entered, enabled, and disabled with ease using this emulator.
How to Use Pokémon Renegade Platinum Cheat Codes
This is the same advice that we’d give for any Pokémon cheats: remember to always save your game before applying any cheats, and for the best, most stable results, turn off all other cheats when applying and using a new one. As there are so many different combinations of codes possible, we can’t guarantee they’ll all work together as intended. In fact, we often have trouble ourselves when multiple cheats are used simultaneously, so it’s worth turning off as many as you can to use the latest one you want.
If you get stuck or the added cheats do crash or otherwise break your game, you can always go back to your save point. It’s important to remember to turn each added cheat off before saving again too, so that the chances of crashing or otherwise breaking your game, by adding a new code, are reduced.
Do note that numerous versions of Pokémon Renegade Platinum may be available. All of the codes on this list have been tested by us here at Retro Dodo using the DraStic emulator, and each cheat’s section tells you how to make sure each cheat code functions as you need it to.
Be very careful with cheats for different versions of Pokémon Renegade Platinum, or codes which we have not listed here; we found some which glitched our game, or didn’t work at all.

Ghost Mode
Though we couldn’t get the Walk Through Walls cheat to reliably work, Ghost Mode is an enhanced version of that ability. It allows you to run everywhere, to hover and walk through many obstacles. It doesn’t work consistently in towns and cities, but in the wild it should function normally. Do be aware that this cheat cannot be disabled once used, so use with caution and save prior to using it:

Shiny Pokémon Encounter
With this cheat enabled, head to your trainer card and then press R+A simultaneously. You will then battle only Shiny Pokémon in encounters, but you can turn it off by disabling the cheat or pressing L+A simultaneously on your trainer card:

Note On Other Pokémon Renegade Platinum Codes:
We have tried using a large number of other codes for Pokémon Renegade Platinum which we’ve seen elsewhere. However, for our Pokémon Renegade Platinum version (we’ve been using the DraStic emulator to test these codes), no other codes would work properly for us. This includes unlocking all Gym Badges and walking through walls, which we couldn’t get to work at all. Therefore, we have not included these, or any other codes which wouldn’t work reliably (or at all) on this list.
