I know you were looking forward to Friday this week because the weekend is just around the corner, but I've got another reason for you to be clock-watching every day now. On December 12th, PKMario is giving us an early Christmas present in the form of the full release of their fangame Pokémeon Gadir Deluxe.
Instead of being a ROM hack of a previous game, Gadir Delue is a brand new full-length fanmade game with a new story, new art, new regions, and a new Pokédex. There are 1,078 Pokémon to collect, including legendaries, plus over 80 new species to pick up, as well as new in-game mechanics to experience and a whole new endgame sequence to play through.
I like that there are hints to existing Pokémon like Tandemaus in the form of the new critter Tandemeow - it feels new while being excitingly familiar, and the fact that there's a whole new region with exciting secrets and all the legendaries to uncover has me feeling very pumped for an old-school Pokémon adventure the likes of which I grew up with.
