We're huge fans of 90s collectibles, especially when they came with a tasty meal that we probably would have been ok eating everyday as kids. Heck, I recently got the Eduardochi Tamagotchi from KFC from a friend who lives in Spain and put it in a safe place in my office.
We've covered lots of rare Burger King Toys in the past, but to spend 26 years finishing a full collection of toys... well that's some serious dedication to the cause. That's exactly what Reddit user Hoothehell has done, taking almost three decades to complete the 1999 Burger King Pokémon Collection. I bet it feels good to actually set out to catch 'em all and finally complete that mission!

In the post on Reddit, Hoothehell states that they have been 'slowly collecting the BK toys for many years,' and that they still have some of the bags the toys came in too. They wanted to share the collection with other collectors on Reddit who might appreciate this, and as a 90s kid who still wishes he had all of his Go-Go Crazy Bones and Power Rangers toys, I heartily approve.

The collection in question was made up of key rings, Pokémon launchers, light up figures, beanbags, rev-top toys, talking toys, and squirters which were obviously all Water-type Pokémon. When asked how they have completed the collection of 59 toys, they said that they had spent a lot of time going around garage sales and swap meets as well as looking on eBay.
The collection arrived in Burger King stores back on November 8th 1999 and only stayed unto December 31st. It's sad to think how many of these figurines will have probably been tossed away over the years, but to see the full set together in one place is amazing. Hoothehell is starting on the 2000 series of toys now, and we wish them luck. Let's hope it takes a little less than 26 years this time around though!
