A few weeks ago, I got wind that LEGO were releasing a new miniature arcade cabinet this August to match the large-scale PAC-MAN cabinet that Brandon has in his collection and covets like Smaug. Now, it's been revealed that the 40805 Arcade Machine is now something much, much more exciting.
To start with, the outside shows a two-player arcade machine with a game simply titled 'Space'. The sticker graphic makes it seem a little like a cross between Space Invaders and Galaxian, but you get the idea - all of the arcade games that happened in space are channeled into this piece.

The real magic, however, is found when you open up the arcade cabinet and look inside.
Hidden inside is a gamer's room with a game station, computer, sofa, and stickers that you can place where you like, which highlight what it was like to be a gamer in the 80s/90s. There's also a miniature Junkbot-branded arcade machine for the LEGO history fans out there, all buildable and stored away inside the set itself to play with at your leisure.
The 468-piece model is 16cm high x 11cm wide x 8cm deep is for ages 10 and up. It drops on August 1st and has a pretty affordable pricetag too, coming in at £29.99 / US$39.99 / €39.99 / CAD $44.99 / AU$59.99. Head to the LEGO website to find out more!
