If you’re struggling to get the score you want on the field, then you might want to check out how to unlock the Bushido Gear in Mario Strikers Battle League.
We all love to soup-up our characters in games; my mate Josh spends about 6 hours working on the best games with good character creation before he even starts the first level!
Upgrading and making our characters look unique is part of the gaming package, so it’s no surprise that the gear in Battle League both looks gnarly and has some amazing bonuses for your chosen players.
And the best bit is, there’s more gear to unlock along the way!
Let’s check out what the Bushido gear is, what it does, and how to get it!
How Do I Get The Bushido Gear In Mario Strikers Battle League?
Players unlock the Bushido Gear in Mario Strikers Battle League by completing all cups in Normal Mode.
In other words, you’ve got to play through the Cup Battles mode in its entirety, completing all 5 available cups in any order and then the sixth Championship Cup.
Once you’ve completed the Championship cup and the credits end, the Bushido gear will be available in Gear Settings.
Bushido refers to the moral code and honour of the Japanese Samurai, setting out the rules they lived their lives by.
In Mario Strikers, there aren’t really any rules, so I guess it’s more Ghost of Tsushima-style etiquette than the proper Samurai warriors…
What Does the Bushido Gear Do?
In each instance, the Bushido Gear improves one stat by a whopping 4 points but decreases four other stats by 1 point.
So, in the case of the Bushido Armour above, Peach’s strength has gone up by 4 points, but it’s decreased the other stat bars by 1.
You might not think that’s a massive price to pay to up her strength for those kick-off tackles… and to be honest, once you’ve read our article on how to unlock Galactic Mode in Mario Strikers Battle League, you’ll need all of the player strength you can get!
Here, the Bushido Sandals are giving toad way more speed than before, making him a nifty-little ball carrier that can outsmart the likes of Donkey Kong and Bowser.
Speaking of DK, he’s looking pretty sharp in the pic below. I equipped all the Bushido Gear here to see how his initial base stats differed to the new get-up stat levels.
The main difference between base-level DK and Bushido DK is that the shooting stat goes below 2 bars, while the strength and passing bars go up a small amount.
Should I Use The Bushido Gear On My Mario Strikers Character?
So, is the Bushido Gear best used in conjunction with other gear?
I would say yes.
Sure, it looks cool, and if you’re happy with your stats being fairly similar to what they were before and like the idea of playing like a Samurai, then go ahead and purchase the whole kit.
Instead of each piece costing 100 coins, however, each piece of the Bushido Gear now costs 300 coins.
Maybe pick the character you like the most and treat them to a piece every time they win.
And that’s a wrap!
Thanks for checking out this article on how to unlock the Bushido Gear in Mario Strikers Battle League. Give your characters the respect they deserve, though I doubt they’ll play with any more honour!
