Introduced in Gen VII, Oricorio is a Flying type Pokemon that doesn’t evolve.
However, while it doesn’t offer any evolutions, it can transform into other forms. These forms not only change their appearance, but also their secondary type.
When you first meet Oricorio you’ll likely discover it in its Baile Style. If that doesn’t suit your party setup, don’t worry because I have a way to change your Oricorio into a Pokemon that’ll slot nicely into your team.
Just make sure you have some Pokedollars to spare.

How To Transform Oricorio In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet
To transform your Oricorio you need to use nectar from a collection of unique flowers. These nectars can be found while exploring Paldea, but the easiest way to obtain them is to purchase them from Delibird Presents.
If you’ve yet to discover a Delibird Presents, lookout for a red and white shop in the below cities:
- Mesagoza
- Cascarrafa
- Levincia
There’s a total of four nectars you can purchase: Red Nectar, Pink Nectar, Yellow Nectar, and Purple Nectar. They each sell for 300 Pokedollars, making them a relatively cheap expense for what they offer.
Once you have your nectars, add Oricorio to your party (assuming it isn’t already), then open your Bag to select which nectar you want to use.
To make sure you get the right form, here’s an overview of what each nectar offers:
Oricorio Pom-Pom Style – Electric/Flying
Use Yellow Nectar to transform your Oricorio into an Electric type.
Oricorio Pa’u Style – Psychic/Flying
If you want a Psychic feathered friend, be sure to use the Pink Nectar.
Oricorio Sensu Style – Ghost/Flying
Should you want to add a Ghost type to your party, you need to use the Purple Nectar to transform Oricorio into its Sensu Style
Oricorio Baile Style – Fire/Flying
Although you’ll likely start with this form, if you want to change your Oricorio back simply give it Red Nectar.
Bear in mind that Oricorio’s Fire Tera Type won’t change when using nectar. For that type of transformation you’re going to need Tera Shards, and our how to change Tera Types in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet guide.
That’s really all there is to it! It’s cheap, easy, and a fun way to change up your party without losing your winged companion.
