How To Get Tandemaus In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (The Easy Way)

Have you been living by the one true Pokemon mantra “gotta catch ‘em all”?

If not, it’s about time you begin. I know your Pokemon Scarlet & Violet journeys are your own to make, but there’s some seriously cool Pokemon out there. And some are rarer than others.

Meet Tandemaus.

At a height of 1’ and a weight of just 4lbs, this Normal type Couple Pokemon is tiny. Almost small enough to miss. However, its large ears do help you single it out… provided you’re in the right location.

You see, Tandemaus is quite a rare sight. So much so that the Pokedex even comments “rarely seen”. So if you’re looking to get Tandemaus for yourself, you might have to search for quite some time.

If that sounds like too much effort, you can use the how to get Pichu guide if you value ease above all else.

Where To Find Tandemaus In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Tandemaus can be found just outside the towns and cities of Paldea, in the North, East, West, and South Province. To get it early on, use the North West Exit from Mesagoza where the Pokemon League building is.

Depending on your level, this catch can be easy or hard. When I approached Tandemaus I was several levels below it, and thanks to its Super Fang attack, I was getting hurt quite badly. Still, once I got its health below half way I caught it with ease.

Honestly, the biggest challenge you face is discovering this little guy. Though its evolution, Maushold, is a much harder find. In fact, you can’t find it out in the wild at all. If you want to get it you either need to evolve Tandemaus or find Maushold in a Tera Raid.

But don’t be fooled into thinking evolution is the simpler route to take because Tandemaus has some very specific needs.

Well, there you have it. Now you have a small but mighty mouse on your team.

Still, it never hurts to keep tracking down those Pokemon so why not read Retro Dodo’s how to get Wiglett guide. And if you fancy exclusive caches of supplies, the mystery gift codes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet are worth investigating.
