With the launch of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet comes the want to catch all of the cutest Pokemon possible, one of them being the adorable Pichu.
Pichu is the pre-evolution of Pikachu, which can be obtained through one of the many mystery gift codes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet or by finding it in the wild.
If you want a Pichu early on in the game to power it’s strength throughout your gameplay then we are here to help.
Here’s how to get Pichu in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.
Where To Catch Pichu In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

You can find Pichu north east of Los Platos and south east of Mesagoza. It is hiding on the eastern cliff edge as if you were trying to climb the cliffs from nearest to Los Platos.
Heading north east from Los Platos you will be greeted with a cliff edge, head north and go around so that you find a higher grassland.
Then head south as if you were running off the edge, and you should find a wild Pichu in this area.

Like how to get Shroodle in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet you need to keep your eyes peeled, as Pichu is very small and can often be hidden or mistaken for some kind of rock or plant.
To help with this I usually tilt my camera angle into a birds eye view so that the grass isn’t in front of my view, and it makes the colours more obvious.
You can evolve Pichu by gaining a high friendship, you do this by playing with it, battling with it and washing it. A simple thunderstone will then evolve your Pikachu into a Raichu.
