We all love Dunsparce, and anyone who says otherwise is wrong. Those are just the facts.
However, since its introduction in Generation II, Dunsparce has had no evolution. Until Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, that is.
Yes, the cutest Land Snake in all of Pokemon has finally got an evolution. And yet, it’s incredibly similar to how it already looks.
So why are we all so obsessed with getting Dunsparce’s evolution Dudunsparce?
It’s because it’s new, and because Dudunsparce comes in two forms: a Two Segment and Three Segment Form.
I can’t promise you’ll get the Three Segment Form, however, I can help you finally get a Dudunsparce the easiest way possible.
Where To Catch Dudunsparce In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet?
You can’t catch Dudunsparce in the wild. Instead, you need to catch Dunsparce and evolve it; Dunsparce can be found at multiple areas across Paldea, although it’s a very rare sight. If you want to catch one early on, head to South Province (Area Four).
Although the Pokedex says Dunsparce lives underground, I’ve seen it topside plenty of times.
These are the other locations you can find it:
- Glaseado Mountain
- Dalizapa Passage
- South Province (Area One)
- West Province (Area One)
- West Province (Area Two)
- North Province (Area Three)
- North Province (Area One)
- East Province (Area One)
- East Province (Area Two)
- East Province (Area Three)
- Alfornada Cavern
This is by no means the full list, but I think it gives you plenty of spots to try.
Also, if you want to increase your chances of seeing Dunsparce, set up a Picnic and create an Ultra Curry and Rice Sandwich. This type of Sandwich will increase your Encounter Power to Level 2.
How To Evolve Dunsparce Into Dudunsparce
You need Dunsparce to reach Level 32 to learn the move Hyper Drill. Once it knows this move, simply level up again and it’ll evolve.
If you catch a Dunsparce above Level 32 don’t panic – just go into “Change Moves” and select “Remember Moves”.
Dunsparce doesn’t need to be your Lead Pokemon for it to evolve, simply have it in your Party and the transformation will still trigger.
As you can see from my screenshots, I only got the Two Segment Form. Try not to be too disappointed if you do too because the Three Segment Form is incredibly rare.
If you want to try and get a Three Segment Form Dudunsparce, you’ll need to breed your Pokemon…
