How To Get Annihilape In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet (The Easy Way)

  • November 28, 2022

Primeape is a staple Pokemon for many veteran trainers. Having been around since Generation I, it’s become a firm favourite for those who prefer Fighting types.

It’s pretty much a force to be reckoned with in its current form, but it can become even more powerful once it evolves. Yes, it now evolves.

New for Generation IX, Primeape can now become the Fighting/Ghost type known as Annihilape.

I know without hearing your reactions that you want one, but the task ahead of us isn’t straightforward. Still, if you’re prepared to put in the effort then we can show you the easiest way to get Annihilape.

How To Evolve Primeape Into Annihilape In Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Get Primeape to Level 35 to learn Rage Fist, a new Ghost type move, then use Rage Fist in battle x20. After doing so, the next time Primeape levels up it will evolve.

Although this sounds simple, there are a few very specific and important conditions.

Firstly, you can’t visit a Pokemon Center in between battles to heal. Doing so will reset your Rage Fist counter to zero, meaning you have to start this process all over again.

My advice is to challenge low level Pokemon. I went back to Poco Path because all the Pokemon there are below Level 10, meaning they present no threat and faint easily. I did feel cruel annihilating them, but it was for the greater good. I swear!

Secondly, you’ll need to use Ether once you run out of Rage Fist (it only has 10 PP) to make sure you can do this task in one go.

If you don’t have Ether, you will need to find this medicine while on your travels because you can’t buy it. Don’t worry though, there’s plenty of them lying around, just look for red glowing Pokeballs while travelling.

I’d also like to mention that if you catch a Primeape higher than Level 35, you can still learn Rage Fist.

Make sure to have Primeape in your Party, then select Check Summary. Scroll across to its listed moves, then press the A Button to “Change Moves”. An option will now appear that says “Remember Moves”, select that and you’ll be able to relearn Rage Fist.

If you’re hoping to simply catch Annihilape then you’re doomed to fail – you can’t find this Pokemon in the wild. Don’t believe me? Just check your Pokedex entry.

Now you’ve got Annihilape, how about learning how to get Eevee as well? It’s another rare beauty that’s very popular amongst trainers. You’ll also want to keep on top of the latest mystery gift codes in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet too.
