How To Beat The Wind Temple Boss (Colgera) In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom

You’ve defeated a couple of mini bosses, but now it’s time to figure out how to beat the Wind Temple boss in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Colgera is a fierce beast made out of ice. It flies through the air, sending out projectiles and whirlwinds to protect itself and harm Link.

But despite its scary appearance, the Wind Temple boss isn’t difficult to beat. All you need to know is where its weak points are, and how to reach them while in midair.

If that sounds like a plan to you, it’s high time we put a stop to these blizzards and took down the Wind Temple boss before the Rito turn to ice!

Defeating Colgera is simple – when its icy weak points are exposed, use your arrows to break the ice and do damage. Make sure to avoid Colgera when it teleports, and steer clear of those whirlwinds!

Colgera’s weak points can be targeted from underneath at all times, but they’re hard to reach.

It’s much easier to hit them when they’re exposed. They’ll become visible from above when Colgera launches several icicles your way; you’ll know when it’s happening because Tulin will warn you.

To help Link hit the target, attach an Aerocuda Wing to help it travel further.

Strike those spots several times and the ice will shatter, leaving Colgera roaring in pain. Then rinse and repeat with this method until the battle is won.

Use Tulin!

Colgera never changes form, only its attack pattern: when its HP is halfway, teleportation portals and whirlwinds start appearing.

As annoying as they are, this is still an easy boss battle. Still, if you want to avoid suffering like I did, use Tulin’s Gust to blow you out of the way.

I failed to do this, and ended up eating all my food to keep my HP up. Don’t be like me, use Tulin as much as possible!

Once Colgera is slain, the blizzard that’s been troubling Rito Village will disappear, leaving behind a green and luscious landscape.

More importantly, though, Tulin will vow to help Link by lending him his Gust ability.

Of course, just because you know how to beat the Wind Temple boss in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, doesn’t mean you’re ready to face the Demon King just yet. There’s still plenty of other enemies to fight, and secrets to discover.
