We’ve defeated a lot of enemies already, but we’ve still got to learn how to beat Queen Gibdo in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
If you’ve been following along with my TOTK playthrough, you’ll have left the Lightning Temple until last.
The reason it’s best to tackle this dungeon later on is because reaching Gerudo Town is more difficult than getting to Rito Village, Zora Domain, or Death Mountain. Furthermore, the boss guarding the Lightning Temple is harder to beat.
You want to be prepared to take on the challenges Link will face; if you feel you have what it takes, we can begin.
How To Beat Queen Gibdo In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom
To beat Queen Gibdo, you need to use Riju’s lighting ability, waiting for it to reach the target before firing an arrow. Once Queen Gibdo is hit, they’ll turn grey and any attack will work.
Sadly, it isn’t going to be as simple as following the above steps because Queen Gibdo fires deadly sand beams, and whirlwinds.
Oh, and there’s also Gibdo nests in each corner of the room, releasing super fast and flying Gibdos. Consequently, you’ll want to take the nests out first.
Once a nest is destroyed, stand in the light shaft it leaves behind to make quick work of remaining Gibdos.
After those pests are gone, finish off Queen Gibdo by using Riju’s power. You can also use Shock Fruit, Yellow Chu Chu Jelly, and Electric Keese Eyeballs too if Riju’s not charged up.
When you beat Queen Gibdo, Riju will have her moment with the previous Gerudo Sage, while Link will get another Heart Container.
Hopefully this guide on how to beat Queen Gibdo in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom has helped you slay the monster, leaving you time to crack on with other main quests.
If this is your last temple, you’ll want to head to Lookout Landing to speak with Purah. Otherwise, you should head to other regions, using my guides on how to beat Mucktorok in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and how to beat Marbled Gohma in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
