Remember how excited I got over the LEGO Tony Hawk's Pro Skater set that I wrote about? A working THPS LEGO diorama in a CRT - what's not to love? But when I saw this working LEGO arcade with playable games, I lost my ever-loving mind. It's beaten it hands down, and now I'm going to do everything in my power to help it become a reality.
The whole set folds into the shape of a building and gives off the impression of a proper old-school arcade. Ok, there wouldn't have been any palm trees here in the UK, but vending machines and ATMs would definitely have been par for the course. The trees, the signage, and the colour schemes definitely have that 80s vibe to them too, which I really like.
Once opened up, you're met with an absolute treasure trove of nostalgia, with working LEGO pinball machines, grabber machines, and what I would call seaside arcade games like the 10p drop machine. There's also a 'Defender' arcade machine with a rocket and a star that has a Space Invaders feel to it.

As with all LEGO Ideas sets, Liam Paradise has to get to 10,000 supporters to get this set in front of the LEGO Ideas judges. It's only gone live today and has almost reached its first milestone of 100 supporters, which it had 60 days to get to. After that, the project has a further 365 days to get to 1,000 supporters, then an additional year to get to 10,000.
