If you’re feeling like a boss after learning how to beat Flux Construct 1 in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you’re definitely amped up enough to be shown how to beat Battle Talus in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
Just like the Great Sky Island Flux Construct, Battle Talus is a mini boss battle you can skip. But where’s the fun in that?
Besides, with the help of Bomb Flowers and Ascend, you’ve got everything you need to succeed.
I know you can do this! But if you’re not sold on the idea yet, continue reading to see exactly what you need to do to beat Battle Talus – you might just be surprised at how simple it is.
How To Beat Battle Talus In Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom
To beat Battle Talus, you need to attach a Flower Bomb to an arrow to get rid of the Bokoblins riding its back. Once they’re gone, run under Battle Talus and use Ascend to get on top to easily hit its weak spot.
The hardest part of this fight is avoiding the Battle Talus’ attacks. Similar to Flux Construct 1, this mini boss slams the ground and nearly instantly KOs Link.
Battle Talus also throws boulders at you, so you need to take cover behind the Hyrule material cache (decorated with a blue flag) to protect yourselves. This cache can’t be destroyed by the enemy, meaning it’s a handy refuge spot when you’re in a pinch.
Whether you take cover or not, you need to subdue the enemy before attempting to run underneath it.
Use any bombs you have to distract Battle Talus, then use Ascend when the moment is right. When you’re on top of the beast, use your most powerful melee weapon on the exposed black rock.
Bomb Away!
If you don’t have Bomb Flowers, you can do damage by attaching other items to an arrow instead. However, the bombs provide intense damage fast.
The best way to stock up on bombs is to visit the Bottomless Cave on Great Sky Island. Should you not want to fast travel, though, you can use Fire Fruit to take out those Bokoblins. However, Fire Fruit is a poor substitute against the Battle Talus itself.
I didn’t find this fight too difficult, especially because I had such an abundant supply of food. This is why it’s a good rule of thumb to follow my 13 best Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom beginner tips and cook often!
Congratulations, you’re ready to beat Battle Talus in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom!
With another mini boss slain, Link can return to doing what he does best: any and every side quest that comes his way. Or is it just me who’s distracting Link from his main goal?
