Dark Horse Direct have unveiled a new polyresin Master Chief statue to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Halo 2. Fans of Master Chief got their first peak at the commemorative collectible, officially titled The Halo 2: Master Chief 20th Anniversary Statue, in an exclusive look from IGN.

The statue shows the heroic Spartan sliding down an exploding ship, with his iconic BR55 Service Rifle in hand. The product description from the Dark Horse website describes the scene depicted in the new statue; ‘Despite the chaos happening around him, the Master Chief keeps his cool demeanor under his helmet as he fires off a shot at an unseen Covenant enemy while careening into the unknown’.

Chief’s Battle Rifle and the explosive cloud beneath him both feature LED lighting that will make the Spartan hero stand out on anyone’s bookcase.

This new collectible is available exclusively through Dark Horse Direct in partnership with 343 Industries and is limited to just one thousand pieces, with orders restricted to a maximum of two per customer. Fans who pre-order The Anniversary Statue before the 9th of April 2024 will receive a $20 discount on the standard $219.99 price tag.

Anyone picking up this statue will need to clear a bit of room on their display shelves. Master Chief’s explosive form is a chonky boy, measuring an impressive 8.5 inches tall, 9 inches wide, and 11 inches deep. Each figure includes an individually hand-numbered base and a Certificate of Authenticity in the box.

That base plinth also houses a USB charging port to bring Master Chief’s Battle Rifle muzzle flash to life, although a USB cable doesn’t ship in the box, so collectors will need to provide their own.

Halo 2 launched on the 9th of November 2004 to overwhelmingly positive reviews from fans and critics alike, cementing Master Chief’s place as one of the most iconic video game protagonists of all time and shooting the sequel to the top of our list of the best titles in the series.
